Activity description

Capetti Elettronica has been designing and manufacturing electronic products since 1973. The 2000 sqm factory employs 40 people.

The company has two main departments:

- the R&D department designs electronic equipment according to the international customers’ requirements

- the manufacturing department where equipment is assembled, tested and packed

Capetti manages the whole production cycle and outsources specific tasks to qualified suppliers - when needed. The technological expertise comes from the 40-year-history of the company and varies in many technological areas.

In 2005 the company started an important research and development activity focused on ultra low power wireless sensor network (WSN) technologies to develop its first product range: battery operated wireless monitoring and control appliances. In 2008 this technology was tested over several demonstration plants and delivered to the market and grows steadily to meet market requirements and bring wireless technology in new unexplored areas. The environmental and energy-saving area remains the most promising one.

At present, the company is still evolving its wireless sensor products chasing lower energy consumption, greater autonomy, better radio performance, and lower cost.

The company is UNI EN ISO 9001 certified by DNV since 2007.
